Benzema aka Alejandro is one of the biggest acts out of the new school artists this generation has ever seen & seemingly has taken the role of Kenya's Bad Boy which has led him to acquire monikers such as 'Vandame wa Porn, Bro wa Trey Songz, & Chief Inspekta'
Certainly not new to the music industry, Benzema made his debut in Show Biz as a member of the legendary House DJ group 'Lectronica Circle' back in 2012 alongside Sineti. No EDM event would happen without them being the main headliners from 'Daylight Insomnia Series,, Color Festival & LC Parties & many more.
Some of the biggest tunes out of Lectronica Circle were 'Ang'o' ft Sally Oyugi, KENYA ft Vanessa Vonroe. They also did collaborations with international acts such Steph Bosch(Canada) on the track 'FInd You' & Dakarai (USA) on two songs 'Emotion' & 'Tribute' which were always topping the EDM Beat Port Charts.
His 5 year career in the EDM scene came to a halt in 2017, when the genre was dying down, and not one to see what the future doesn't hold decided to re-brand and focus on what Kenyans would relate to.
This was the best decision 'Alejandro' ever made, and which spurred the growth of Gengetone. The only other artists who were on that path was 'The Kansoul'.
Benzema ended up teaming up with Dmore on the jam 'Ochungulo' which birthed the group 'Ochungulo Family' after 'NellyTheGoon' joined the team, and as they say the rest is history. You can never go a full day without hearing their jams e.g Kaa na Mama Yako, Naiwake, Dudu, etc played either on Radio,TV, Matatu or Club.
In late 2019, Benzema decided its time to make a name for himself & started doing collaborations with different artists e.g Woyez, DJ Nephus, Naiboi, Breeder, Jimmy Tu, Ethic & recently Noti Flow. He's also worked with Sauti Sol, KanSoul, Khaligraph Jones, Fena, Chris Kaiga, and Barak Jacuzzi
He is also a budding entreprenuer & event organizer for 'Kenyan Juice', Director of a spin off Reality Series 'Fisi Love' and Brand Ambassador for KE's very own Rolling Paper 'Mbichwa Ziggy'
He has performed one track on LWKY. i.e Story za Vanessa IV.
