Boutross rise to Shrap God Status

A lot of artists, especially Kenyan artists love to ride the wave. Sauti Sol became a hit, and boy bands started popping out of nowhere. Gengetone became the wave, now every young'in is trying to use the genre to catapult their career, even attracting the likes of a former gospel star.

But AD Family which comprises of Boutross, Dope I Mean & Kay Green alongside their Manager Musau decided to create their own movement and style if music 'SHRAP' which is a combination of 'Sheng' and 'Rap'

And its no surprise that Boutros is famously known as the 'Shrap God'. He's been the lead artist pushing the genre in the 254 releasing bangers for days. Mwebia Munene aka Bouti started rapping at the age of 12, and his consistency in trying to get an early head start in the game saw him performing in local talent shows in his school in Nairobi and his hood 'High Rise Estate along Mbagathi.

Since 2013 when he linked with his other protege's in AD Family, they have been getting massive airplays in major radio stations in Kenya and even booking slots for interviews in shows such as The Trend, 10 over 10, Teen Republik etc. ome of the projects Boutross did with ADF include El Cabrone, ShrapLife and even started their own series of events dubbed 'Shrap Nite'

His solo projects that put him on the throne of the Shrap Movement include BUDS, Internet, Billy Jean and Turn a Hobby Into a Job which was a collaboration project with Jovie Jov and Kay Green

One of Bouti's biggest achievements in his career was being selected as one of the 100 entries in Mr Eazzi's emPawa 100 initiative whose aim is to help new artist reach their full potential musically by equipping them with knowledge and funding to do so.

Boutross has performed in reknown gigs such as Nyege Nyege Festival, Nai Fest, Thrift Social, Nasty C's Ivyson Tour, and the Shrap Life Campus Tour, Madaraka Festival, Concert Untamed etc

He has also collaborated with artists such as Sho Madjozi, Octopizzo, Khaligraph Jones, Breeder LW, Maandy, Saru, Denzel Kong, Master VK, Wakadinali, Groovie Joe, Barak Jacuzzi, Raj, Benzema of Ochungulo Family, Sauti Sol signee Nviiri the Story Teller etc
